auraScribe is no longer a notetaker

You walk out of a meeting with a gut feeling. Three days later, you can't remember exactly what was agreed, who promised what, or why you said yes to the next call. The transcript is somewhere in your inbox. The follow-up is still unwritten. The next meeting is tomorrow. We built auraScribe to live in that gap — and today, we're announcing that we finally finish the job.

The gut feeling, three days later

Every professional we've talked to over the last year tells us some version of the same story. The meeting went well — they think. There was a moment that mattered — they can't quite place it. There was a commitment made — but by whom, and by when, is now a slightly embarrassing question to ask. The transcript exists, somewhere. The action items, if they were ever written down, are scattered across notebooks, Slack DMs and short-term memory.

This is not a failure of attention. It's a failure of tooling. The category of "AI notetaker" has matured into something that can capture the words faithfully, but stops there — leaving the user with the hard part. Writing the follow-up email. Remembering what was promised. Preparing for the next conversation. Noticing whether you're getting any better at this over time.

We were guilty of the same thing, in our own way.

Why we repositioned

auraScribe launched as a behavioural-analysis tool. The pitch was "Capture the words. Decode the world." We were proud of the analysis — the Raw Audio Cues, the per-speaker remarks, the behavioural summary that named things you'd felt but not articulated. And it worked. Users came back and told us they were learning things about themselves they'd never seen in any other tool.

But they also told us, more often than was comfortable, that the analysis was sitting in a tab they never reopened. The insight was real. The follow-through was not. We were leaving them at the finish line of understanding, then handing them a fresh marathon — write the email, remember the commitment, prep for tomorrow, notice the pattern. Insight without follow-through is theatre.

So we finished the job. Today, auraScribe is no longer a notetaker, and it's no longer "just" a behavioural analysis tool. It's an AI meeting assistant — the one that records, transcribes, drafts your follow-ups, tracks your commitments, and coaches your next move. New tagline: **You do the talking. We'll do the rest.**

The six superpowers

The repositioning isn't a marketing repaint. It's six capabilities, shipped together, that turn a recording into a finished piece of work. We call them the six superpowers, and they run in order:

**Listen.** auraScribe captures every word, verbatim, across every platform — in-person, Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, phone, voice memo. No language switch. No "I missed that, can you repeat?" The recording is the source of truth, and we treat it that way.

**Understand.** Behavioural signal — the layer most tools never attempt — sits underneath the transcript. Who drove the conversation. Where the pace shifted. Who hesitated before answering. The understanding layer is what makes the rest of the product more than a glorified text dump.

**Remember.** Speaker memory persists across meetings. The next time the same person joins a call, auraScribe knows their name, their role, their company, the tone of past interactions. You stop introducing yourself to your own product every Monday.

**Act.** The follow-up drafter writes the email for you — in your voice, with the right tone for the relationship, summarising the outcomes and the commitments. You skim, edit a sentence, send. The commitment tracker logs what was promised, by whom, by when, and nudges you when a deadline approaches.

**Coach.** The AI meeting coach reviews your last week of conversations and tells you, specifically, what to do differently in your next one. Not "talk less" — "you over-explained the pricing slide three times this week, and engagement dropped each time." Personal, observational, actionable.

**Compound.** Every meeting makes the next one better. The coaching journal tracks your trajectory. The speaker memory deepens. The follow-up drafts get more accurate to your voice. The product is designed so that month six is dramatically more valuable than month one, by construction.

What this means for the existing analysis

Nothing about the behavioural analysis layer changes. Raw Audio Cues are still the soul of the product. The per-speaker remarks, the behavioural summary, the critical-moments extraction — all still there, all still doing the work they were doing before. The repositioning is additive: we kept everything that made auraScribe distinctive, and we added the layers that turn insight into finished work.

If anything, the analysis is now more useful, because it has somewhere to land. The coaching surfaces specific behavioural patterns. The follow-up drafter uses the commitment tracker. The commitment tracker uses the speaker memory. The speaker memory makes the analysis sharper next time. Each superpower feeds the next.

On the rest of the category

We want to be clear about what we're not saying. The other tools in this space — Otter, Fireflies, Granola, Fathom, and the broader category — do good work in their niches. Otter is excellent at fast, lightweight transcription. Fireflies has built a strong CRM-integrated workflow. Granola has redefined what a meeting note can look like for a certain kind of knowledge worker. Fathom does the always-on bot well.

We're not trying to replace any of them by being marginally better at their core thing. We're trying to occupy the position none of them have committed to: the AI meeting assistant that does the entire job — from listening through to coaching your next conversation — for the individual professional, not for a sales-ops dashboard.

If your need is "I want a fast searchable transcript and that's it," Otter is a perfectly good answer. If your need is "I want the meeting to leave me with the work already done, and I want to get sharper over time," that's the gap we built for.

Privacy and the EU AI Act

Two things matter to us that we want to call out specifically, because they're load-bearing to the whole product and they're easy to underrate until you need them.

First, per-user privacy. Your meetings are yours. There is no team dashboard, no manager view, no shared pool of conversation data that someone else can query. Speaker memory is yours. Coaching journals are yours. The follow-up drafts are yours. This is a personal tool — built like one, priced like one, deployed like one.

Second, EU AI Act compliance. The behavioural analysis layer runs through an explicit compliance rewrite that ensures we don't infer protected emotional states, don't make claims the observable signal doesn't support, and don't produce output that would put the user — or the people they record — on the wrong side of the regulation. This isn't a checkbox. It's a defensible position that lets professionals in regulated industries actually use the tool.

These two together — personal-by-design and compliant-by-design — are not optional features. They're the foundation that makes the rest of the product viable for the people who need it most.

What's next

The six superpowers are live. Listen, Understand, Remember, Act, Coach, Compound. The follow-up drafter ships in the same flow as the analysis. The commitment tracker is integrated with the speaker memory. The AI meeting coach reviews your week and gives you something specific to try in your next conversation.

We'll continue to deepen each layer. The coaching engine has a roadmap of its own — cross-meeting trajectory analysis, per- domain coaching modes, deeper integration between the commitment tracker and your calendar. The follow-up drafter will keep learning your voice. Speaker memory will keep compounding. None of that requires a second relaunch — it just ships incrementally from here.

For now, the 14-day trial is the easiest way to see the difference. Run a real week through the new pipeline. Walk in the most prepared. Walk out with the work already done. Come back stronger.

Be the most prepared in every room. Be the first out with the work done.
